Let’s talk: Furnished Apartments!!!

living-room

A thing of beauty is a joy forever-John Keats. But yoh, when it comes to beautiful homes, it is not just about joy, it is about mind, body, and soul (as cliche as that sounds). And it is for this reason that I have decided to throw you  head first into this fabulous piece of space right here. Like this is just one of those pictures you see and your brain is almost simultaneously cast into tranquility levels hard to explain. I personally never really understood the point of furnished apartments, until I walked into this one last week on Sunday after my morning errands. Words can’t even begin to explain the levels of relaxation my body experienced the minute the door to this apartment was opened. But enough talking: let’s indulge together….

telly
Uh-huh, flat screen telly and WiFi. Fyi the seats in this house are so comfy  sitting in them is like falling into a huge cuddly teddy bear’s arms :). Speaking of which, see how she (the owner of the house) turned the window pane into a lovely view point complete with bar stools overlooking the balcony and err’ything??!!! Amazing, just amazing!
mirror
Something else nothing short of amazing? This DIY mirror! I shall however not go into the details of this DIY just so I can see just how many of you can envision the creativity in this…

Eh! And before I go any further, can we please take a moment to appreciate one of my most favorite places on earth…#thekitchen!!!! Lovely surfaces in an open plan setting, a gas cooker, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a cute little window complete with bronze painted curtain holders. Dude, am sold already and I already have an apartment! Wait, can’t I get two?? Hmmmm….

bedroom
Now now, if you are looking at this picture and you are in the office right now, I truly apologize…No, like seriously though, this bed could cure my sleep apnea, and your insomnia, just sayin’! I’ve even zoomed in so you can feel how comfy these pillows are, and if you don’t see the piece of art that is the lamp, we can’t be friends, we just can’t; am sorry. And who knew you could save space by pinning the ironing board onto the wall behind your bedroom door! Like I legit did not know that at all.

As we graduate into what I think is the most important room in a house…the bathroom…I love the glass shower doors, and the way she stuck a box of Kleenex right on top of the hand towel- I don’t know why, but I do! Plus, looking at these pics makes me want to take a shower right about know (for those living in areas of Nairobi without water, may the Lord be with you in these, your difficult days, as the rest of us, that is, Catherine and I continue to enjoy the ever-flowing supply of water in our neighborhood).

And lastly, bits and pieces of the house…(photo credits: the lovely lady Catherine’s dropbox):

Of course you are wondering who Catherine is, well, she is the lovely owner of the house that you contact in the event you would like to rent this amazing sanctuary (this is in Loneview Apartments, along Mombasa Rd.) for a given period of time. Her telephone number is +254-722371032, and the rates are as follows:

  • 1 to 7 days: KES 6,000 (approximately USD 59) per day
  • 8 to 14 days: KES 5,000 (approximately USD 49) per day
  • 15 to 21 days: KES 4,000 (approximately USD 39) per day
  • 22 to 30 days: KES 3,000 (approximately USD 29) per day

And with that, I have to say ‘Sayonnara’ my people, until next time. Do remember to like, share, and share, and in the event you require more information, do drop a comment down below, and I shall get back to you.
